Lexycom's Ethernet/Serial Server provides Ethernet Connectivity to legacy
RS232 Devices.
Longmont, CO - December 1, 2006- RS232 Legacy Devices are now IP addressable
with the Lexycom Technologies software defined radio. This version of firmware for the
Tiamis-800 software defined radio transceivers (SDR), allows legacy R232 serial
equipment to be connected to Ethernet.
With this feature, serial (RS232, RS422, or RS485) devices can be wirelessly
connected to an Ethernet network. Lexycom's wireless Ethernet-to-Serial Server
handles all required protocol conversions and allows the user to add IP addressing
capability to their legacy serial devices. System designers and network users are now
able to realize the maximum benefits of their existing infrastructure by taking full
advantage of the IP-based network's capabilities. In short, the Tiamis-800 radio
provides Ethernet connectivity to the serial world.
